Question 1.: How often are you having senior moments – and how long do they last?

Answer: Brain fog differentiates itself from more serious conditions because it is shorter lasting. Think of it this way – brain fog may make it harder to remember where your car is parked, but more serious conditions will make it hard to remember where you are at all.

At the same time, part of the test for brain fog is that it is longer than just a senior moment. More like you’re trying to focus when you have a cold or have taken a sleeping pill. You know the important things, but the smaller details are harder to access.

Question 2.: How well are you handling stress?

Answer: Everyone wants to think that they handle stress just fine. But the truth may be different. Simply telling yourself that you’re not stressed isn’t enough to fool your body’s systems. And brain fog is a significant side effect of stress.

While it’s impossible to eliminate stress from your life, it is possible to change how you respond to it. First, make sure you aren’t running from it.
