Me? In a CULT?!?!?

Never woulda pegged myself as a cultist…

But that’s what the mainstream is calling me -- just for opposing statins, because they can cause memory problems and muscle pain.

Agree with me? Welcome to the cult!

A new report on the MedPage Today website for medical professionals claims we’re engaged in “fear-mongering.

Now, WHERE could we have possibly come up with such a kooky idea?

Oh wait – there it is, right on the FDA’s website! (Feel free to look it up; cult membership optional.)

Whether you’re in the cult or not, let me give you what they won’t…

And that’s a much better way to handle cholesterol.

What REALLY happens when your cholesterol levels drop

The MedPage Today report claims there is “no evidence” of a link between statins and memory loss.

That flies in the face of not only the FDA website…

But also what doctors see ALL THE TIME when panicked patients call in after starting on the drugs, terrified by the frightening mental lapses.

And it flies in the face of SCIENCE, too.

A massive study in 2015… that involved combing through 11 MILLION medical records… found there absolutely IS a link between statins and memory loss.

In fact, folks who start on cholesterol drugs are 4X more likely to report memory loss compared to folks who don’t.

All this name-calling is just a distraction, anyway.

The memory stuff is hardly the WORST of the side effects of these drugs, which have also been linked to:

  • diabetes
  • muscle pain
  • CoQ10 deficiency
  • sex problems
  • …and MORE

And even THAT’S not the worst of it. Because let’s face it, the biggest issue here is…

Statins DON’T work!

I mean, sure they “work” in that they cut cholesterol. But they DON’T deliver the longer, better, healthier life you’ve been promised.

In fact, most people who have heart attacks DON’T have high cholesterol. They have NORMAL cholesterol.

Studies even show that people with low-cholesterol diets have a HIGHER risk of death.

And that, my friend, is why I don’t obsess over cholesterol levels.

But if you DO need help bringing your LDL and triglycerides down, you’ve got much better ways to get control -- WITHOUT having to deal with the mind-melting side effects.

Some of my faves include:

  • red yeast rice
  • niacin
  • policosanol, and
  • fish oil.

And remember: Cholesterol in the diet doesn’t necessarily become high levels of cholesterol in the blood.

So, don’t shy away from your favorite foods, such as eggs and cheese.
